National Forest Foundation Rebrand

The Client

The National Forest Foundation is the leading organization working on behalf of the American public to inspire personal and meaningful connections to our national forests and public lands.

The Challenge

As the NFF looks to expand its impact leading conservation work and promoting responsible recreation for our national forests and public lands, and shift towards a consumer focused strategy for growing its donor base, the organization sought to develop a new brand narrative and identity.

The challenge for us was in developing and articulating a clear and consumer friendly brand position and narrative that speaks to why people need to engage with the NFF.

The Solution

We began with an in-depth research process, interviewing a mix of internal and external stakeholders with expertise in national forests and public lands.  We used key insights to align NFF team members around a vision for the future and develop clear brand strategy, positioning and key narratives for the team to use in developing outreach messaging.

Our design partner Noct Bureau used our brand work to develop a new visual brand identity, key assets and style guide, resulting in a refreshed brand look for this impactful organization.

The Outcome

The NFF was able to align team members, board members and donors around the new brand strategy, creating a clear path forward to communicate growth and impact plans for the organization.  Our design partner delivered a timeless visual identity, grounded in the brand strategy and positioning we developed. The NFF will use this new narrative and identity to create future fundraising, awareness and engagement campaigns to grow impact.
